Western Lifestyle & Family Photography

Hey, yall!

I'm Kaitlyn Crockett.

Owner and Photographer of Rockin' KC Cattle Co. Photography.

I am a mother of three wild, beautiful cowkids. Kash Blaize (9) Kayzlee Ryann (4), & Caxton King (2).

I started my love for photography almost 4 years ago, when my daughter was born. As the first daughter, it's only right that she was dressed up EVERY day, head to toe. LITERALLY.

*Insert the biggest bow you can find, a good handmade outfit, and shoes so tiny, you could fit them on your finger, here* I made my way into the brand rep world, with Kayzlee as my model. I quickly fell in love with taking pictures. It was always a fun task to get those airy, crips, cute photos. I researched more and more as the days went on, how to improve my photo's. At one point I was taking on 8 shops, branding for them. (Highly recommend having a strong cash flow, because brand reps hurt your bank account..) This was all happening from my phone.

Two years later, my husband and I moved to McLean, Tx, and invested into our own cow calf operation. 40 beautiful, long eared bred Brahman Heifers! I quickly took to them, photographing them nearly every day. Side note: They are SO cool, if you've never been around them. MAJESTIC, if I could describe them. Just don't work them, that's a different story, lol!

At that point, I had outgrown my iPhone camera immensely, and decided to save up for a DSLR camera. When I ordered that camera, and it arrived at my house, it basically gravitated by itself, into my hands. It felt so natural. I spent many long days and nights studying, watching YouTube videos, and a LOT of trial and error. Thankfully, my subjects only moo'd at me and didn't mind me, while I was practicing.

Fast forward to now, and you can always find me in a pasture, or a branding pen, photographing everything.

My work has even been featured in a few magazines. Gebo's being the latest. I have two photos in their 2022 Calendar!

I can't wait to get to know you and photograph your most precious memories!

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
